FIESTA SAN ANTONIO — LATE APRIL
10 days. Book hotels 3–6 months out. Everything fills. NIOSA at La Villita is the must-attend event. Battle of Flowers and Flambeau parades — free to watch from the street. Over 100 events across the city.
Spring is the most event-dense season in SA. Perfect weather in March and April, wildflowers in the Hill Country, and Fiesta as the marquee event of the year. If you can only visit once, make it spring.
JUNE · JULY · AUGUST
Summer — heat-smart SA.
HEAT ADVISORY: 95–105°F JUNE–SEPTEMBER
Plan outdoor activities before noon or after 5pm. Always carry water. Build in one indoor break per day.
Summer is peak season for SeaWorld, resort pools, and air-conditioned museums. August is the quietest and cheapest month — best deals on hotels, fewest crowds, most available reservations.
SEPTEMBER · OCTOBER · NOVEMBER
Fall — the second-best window.
October is the best weather month in SA — 70–80°F, low humidity. Jazz'SAlive in September, Luminaria in October, Día de los Muertos celebrations, and the River Walk Holiday Lights starting in November. The Spurs regular season also begins in October.
