Where To Go SA is a local guide and private transfer booking site run from San Antonio, Texas. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect, and why
We only ask for information when you actually use something:
- Bookings (transfers, concierge time): your name, email, phone number, and pickup/dropoff details — so Willie can confirm your ride and reach you about it. That's the only thing this information is used for.
- The free 48-Hour Plan: your name, email, and optionally your trip date — so we can send you the guide and one heads-up before your trip. No drip campaigns, no list-selling.
- Ask A Local: the questions you type are sent to our answer service so we can respond. Don't put sensitive personal details in there — you don't need to.
Text messaging (SMS)
When you give us your mobile number — on our contact or booking form, or by texting our line at 830-500-5112 — you agree to receive text messages from Where To Go SA related to your request: booking confirmations, ride and pickup coordination, and replies to your questions.
- Message frequency varies based on your activity with us.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out; reply HELP for help.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
We do not sell or share your phone number, and we do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Your number is used only so a real person here can reach you about what you asked for.
Payments — Stripe handles everything
All payments on this site are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your card number goes directly to Stripe — it never touches our servers and we never see or store it. We only receive a confirmation that the payment happened, plus the booking details you entered.
What stays on your device
Site preferences — like where you're staying and any trip plan you build — are saved in your browser's localStorage, on your device. They personalize drive times, transfer rates, and your itinerary. They are not sent to our servers and we can't see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Analytics
We use standard analytics (Google Analytics) to understand which guides help people — page views, general location, device type. This is aggregate data; we don't use it to identify you.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We never store your card details — Stripe does that part.
- We never use your booking contact info for marketing you didn't ask for.
Removing your information
Want your email off the guide list or your booking info deleted? Text Willie at 830-500-5112 or reply to any email from us, and it's done. For preferences stored on your device, just clear your browser data.
