Stone Oak sits along Loop 1604 and Highway 281 in far north-central San Antonio — about 15 minutes from the JW Marriott, 20–25 from La Cantera. It's not a walking neighborhood; it's where locals on the north side go when the night calls for a real steak or churrasco. No River Walk crowds, easy parking, and a dinner lineup that outranks most of downtown on ratings.
